💡The Psychiatric Nurse Attendant provides direct patient care and support to individuals with mental health disorders under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The attendant ensures a safe, therapeutic environment and assists patients with daily living activities and treatment plans.

✅Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while maintaining their dignity and privacy.
• Monitor and document patients’ vital signs, behavior, and mental status, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
• Escort patients to and from treatment areas, recreational activities, and appointments within the facility.
• Participate in group and individual therapy sessions as directed by the treatment team, in line with the Philippine Mental Health Act.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring that the unit is free of potential hazards and complies with the Department of Health’s regulations.
• Assist in managing and de-escalating patients’ challenging behaviors, following established protocols and techniques, and in accordance with the Patient’s Rights under Philippine law.
• Administer medication under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to the Philippine Pharmacy Act.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, maintaining patient confidentiality as per the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance knowledge and skills in psychiatric patient care, as required by the Philippine Nursing Association.

✅Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or associate Degree
• Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage stress effectively.
